Understanding Insurance & Billing

We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans

Most surgery and pain management procedures performed at the Center for Specialty Surgery are billed through your medical insurance, the same way they would be at a hospital.

We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare. If you don't see your plan listed below, don't assume you're not covered. Call us at (503) 906-4300, and our billing team can confirm your specific coverage before your procedure date.

Our facility fee covers your operating room, supplies, dressings, medications, and nursing care. If your procedure requires a special implant, that’s billed separately. Your surgeon’s fee, your anesthesia, and any lab work are also billed separately by the company that provided that specific service, so it’s normal to receive more than one bill after your visit. It is not a billing error.

Before your procedure, we verify your insurance benefits based on the information your physician provides. If you have an unmet deductible or coinsurance due, our billing team will contact you ahead of your surgery date to collect that amount. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for your portion of the bill.

If you can’t pay your balance in full, call our Business Office at (503) 608-5172 as soon as you can after receiving your statement, and we’ll work out a payment arrangement.
